The theme for the first Lemon Lane Subscription Box was ‘True North Strong’ . All the items in the box are made in Canada by Canadian artisans.
Lemon Lily is based out of Toronto but their teas are available all across the country and from their online store. Lemon Lily makes 100% natural and certified organic teas which are free of artificial flavours, glutens and GMOs.The Canadian Maple tea is made with Organic Fair Trade Red Rooibos, Organic Canadian Maple, Organic Brown Sugar and it smells and tastes so yummy!
I’ve never ever tried savoury shortbread cookie and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but these were delicious. I think cheddar and thyme are a perfect combination. Provisions Food Company is based out of St. Catherines ON and they have many many delicious looking goodies on their website.
This cute hand pressed card is made by F as in Frank Papergoods Co. they are based out of Vancouver BC and have many many designs available on their site. The inside is blank so there is plenty of room if you like writing personal notes in your cards.
Au Naturel Bodycare is based out of Toronto, ON. I’ve been looking for a natural bug spray so I’m extremely pleased to see this. This bug spray will keep away Mosquitos, Fleas and Ticks, it smells good, kind of citrusy which is my favourite scent.
Cabane a Sucre Candle 4oz Handmade Soy Candle
This candle was handmade in Waterdown ON. It smells like maple brown sugar, so good.
Thoughts and Impressions:
I think this box is excellently curated! The mix of items in this box was great, and they all suited the ‘True North Strong’ theme so perfectly. I’d like to have a little more info on the artisans themselves as well it would be another nice touch. I also like that they have a quarterly option for customers who would love to try the box but can’t spend $40 each month.
