Reading makes me happy, Audiobooks make me even happier!
I’ve been a member of Audible since 2006. I have well over 200 books in my library. It’s definitely one of the things that make me happy. I listen to my books while i’m doing chores and exercising and commuting it’s easier than carrying around a book. I still love printed books I just find that I don’t have that much time these days.
Currently I’m on the third book in the Paranormalcy Series, Endlessly by Kiersten White. It took me a little while to get into the first book but I’m glad I stuck with it, It’s a good series. My next book is either going to be a Legend by Marie Lu, or Enchanted Inc. by Shanna Swendson. Totally different I know just depends on what kind of mood I’m in once I finish Endlessly. Choosing which book to use my credit on is the hardest thing I swear!
I’ve partnered with Audible so you can sign up for a free trial and get two free audiobooks. If you like it you can get one book a month for $14.95 or sign up for one of their other membership plans, If you decide not to continue your membership you still get to keep your two books. All win no lose! They also have pretty decent sales throughout the year where you can pick up books for $6.95 or sometimes $4.95, which is a steal. I’ve found some of my favourite books through their sales.
I read a little bit of everything Fiction, Non Fiction If it’s interesting I’ll give it a try. Malcolm Gladwell is one of my favourite authors to listen to he narrates his own books which I love and everything he writes really makes me think. The thing with audio books is that the Narrator can make or break a book for you. I like some Narrators so much that I actually look for other books they have narrated so I could get those too. The good thing about Audible is that if you don’t like your book you can exchange it and get a new one.
What are you reading ? Have you ever tried audiobooks if you have which ones do you recommend?
